With a strong and deep-rooted tradition, cross-country skiing in Val di Sole is truly a sport enjoyed by the locals, and for this reason, if you're a fan of this discipline, you'll have the opportunity to wax your skis and perfect your technique thanks to shops and schools with professional instructors.

In the history of Val di Sole, it is said that the first men to ski in Val Vermiglio were Austrian army units engaged in border surveillance and combat. Similarly, the Alpine troops on the Adamello Brenta and Presena massifs.
